This little guy has been helping by eating the weed seeds in the yard and keeping us entertained.

Cleanup Day 3

The rest of the grass and over growth of trees is removed.

Ventura Cleanup

We had so much fun in Hesperia we figured we would head to Ventura and get that yard worked on. First day was cutting grass and overgrown trees.

One Full Shed

The shelves are stacked fairly full and the center of the shed has the other stuff from the yard. It helps to keep the materials out of the sun and weather.

Filling the Sheds

So with the shelves done it is time to start putting things away. This is the metal shed - everything metal goes here.

Just curious - anyone know the SPF of dirt?

Shed 1 Shelves Complete

This shed is complete and ready to be filled. The shelves make an additonal 140 square feet of storage space for pipe, steel, etc..

Outhouse Seat

So it is 102 degrees here and Philip is building shelves for the shed. Only this looks like a giant outhouse seat. Yah Cath thinks the sun is getting to him.

Shed Shelves

With the other house secured it is time to get the first house ready.
Philip is building shelves to hold the pipe, steel, and supplies setting out in the yard.
This is the first set of 4 for the 2 sheds.

Philip's Favorite View

Ah - the view from the master bedroom. The garage, the hill behind it, and cars. All the windows now have blinds.

Window Coverings

The french doors posed a bit of problem but Philip built an 8" shelf above the doorway to support the blinds away from the door knobs and created a valance for it. Plus we have a shelf to display things. It will get painted when we reach that stage for the rest of the house.

Did We Forget to Mention ... ?

Yes the new garage came with a house. Good spot on that, Quillen.
Simple three bedroom two bath two - no three car garage (as far as Philip was concerned.) It has some nice touches but has been neglected. So far it has been given a quick cleaning and the carpet is gone. More to come later.

The hopefully temporary gate and fence are up across the drive to the back garage.

Last Vehicle Move

Here is the last vehicle, a 72 VW panel hippy bus (shag carpet included,) headed into the new garage. This meant one more rearrange so we pulled a couple buses out, a logo panel and double cab.

A Full Garage

The garage is full and two of the newer cars are parked out front on the 'porch'.

Packing in the Garage

Packing a garage lesson.

Place car on 16 wheels (special roller skates), rotate 90 degrees and place against the back wall.

Now there is room for 2 more cars.
