So you grab a BBQ, food, chairs, oh and a flashlight and head out south of town to any patch of ground they will let you park on and get ready for the show.

Every year they have a convention of Fireworks companies that put on a display show. The show can be for 4 nights, weather permitting, and everything goes, old standards to new designs. Lots of Ohhs and Ahhs.

Camping at Alamo Lake State Park, Arizona

After two weeks on Quartzsite we were ready for something a little different so we joined Philip's brother and his wife at Alamo Lake State Park. Rick found us a great camping spot with a fine view.

We wandered off north of town and found a village of 'Eggs', fiberglass trailers like Scamps, Casitas, Bolers and Fiber Stream.

The Kuads, Quartzsite, AZ

A couple years ago we created the Quad burger (as Courtney named it), 4 Dollar Burgers on one bun - with lots of great fried onions. First time we ordered at Quartzsite this year, Trina, the owner and her crew, Courtney and Brandon, remembered us and a friendship began again. People with us get named the Quad cousins, Quad friends, Quad brother etc.

In honor of our creation Trina and her crew gave us T-shirts that say 'The Kuads' with a burger on it. OK so the t-shirt guy was inventive with the spelling but it makes for a better story and more fun.
